My shadow and I

My shadow
keeps howling at me
like a wolf in the night
Only want a gentle maiden
to hold me tight
O dear earth
give me happiness
I cast thee dear shadow
Make me a sparrow of Romeo
I am drunk with charm
O shadow I cast thee out
Weeping on the grass
Once heartbroken
True sorrows I compare
Alas I just returned
yesterday’s shadow
I say good morrow fair maiden
May I offer thee a rose
I desire to dance under the gentle moon
But lady’s lips are far from me
O sweet singing I hear thee
Feeling life and love
Like a flame
I draw to thy spirit
O gentle maiden
What is the season of nature
without thee
